The book catalog is handpicked to further Red Clover Reader's diversity and inclusion mission. The digital library is organized around socio-emotional learning (empathy, kindness, honesty, friendship, faith, forgiveness, etc.), grades (preK - 6th grade), topics (animals, family, bullying, diversity, STEM, trauma, special needs, etc.), languages (English, Spanish, French, etc.) and genres.
For instance, the 'special needs' category includes several learning disabilities, such as autism and dyslexia.
Most books come with supplemental materials such as videos, audios, discussion questions, and printables. Parents and educators can utilize those resources to enhance their children’s learning and engage with them off screen (with printables).
Books are available in both digital and print formats (visit our Shop).
While all the books are in English, some of them are also available in Spanish and other languages (French, Dutch, Mandarin and Swahili).
Parental control options are built-in to help adults decide what children can do inside the web App, and for how long.
Activity reports let adults check what their children read, when they read and how long they read.
In all, the diverse book catalog helps with:
- fostering children's / students' love of reading
- exposing children and students to diverse, representational literature
- accommodating children and students with special needs
- and helping children and students use screen time in a constructive way.
Happy reading!
